Amazon could not verify you. Check every document before you resubmit.

Most verification failures come down to a document detail: a screenshot, a cropped page, an old statement, a name that does not match. Check each file against Amazon's requirements, then prepare for the video call.

Price: $79 per case, after the free diagnosis and evidence check. Unlimited revisions and follow-ups.

What the evidence check shows

Each file is checked against the requirements on Amazon's help pages, with Amazon's wording beside every result.

Example: proforma-invoice.png

  • Will be rejected · A completed, paid transaction: not a quote, pro forma invoice or order confirmation.

Amazon's wording: “Sales quotes, pro forma invoices” · help page

  • Passes · Issued within the 365 days before the notice.

Amazon's wording: “A clearly displayed issue date within the past 365 days before the receipt of the performance notification” · help page

  • Passes · The supplier's name, phone number, address and website.

Amazon's wording: “Contact information of your supplier, including a name, phone number, address, and website” · help page

An example with real rules, not a customer's case.

What this notice means

Amazon verifies the identity, address and business of every seller, at registration and again later. It asks for an ID, a business document and a proof of address, and may ask the account owner to join a video call with the original documents.

When a document fails, Amazon usually says only that it could not verify it. The cause is almost always visible on the file: the type of document, its date, whether it is complete and in colour, and whether the name and address match what you entered in Seller Central.

Wording you may see

  • “We were unable to verify the documents that you provided…”
  • “To complete verification, join a video call…”
  • “Your account is under review. We need to verify your identity…”

  • A proof of address or business document older than 180 days.
  • The name or address does not match Seller Central exactly.
  • Cropped, blurred, black-and-white or password-protected files.
  • Special characters in the file name, or files over the size limit.

Questions

Which documents does Amazon ask for?

A passport or national ID, a business document issued by a government authority, and a proof of address such as a bank or credit-card statement or a utility bill. The exact list depends on your country and business type.

Can I submit documents in Chinese?

Yes. Amazon accepts Simplified and Traditional Chinese among other languages; documents in other languages need a notarized translation alongside the original.

Who has to attend the video call?

The account owner. Anyone else who joins is introduced and their role explained. Have the original paper documents with you, in a quiet place with a stable connection.

What do I get for a verification case?

A check of each document against Amazon's requirements, a preparation checklist for the video call, and, if Amazon has already rejected you, a letter to resubmit with.
